Hello,
At present we are working with forced Reviews, and since we're relatievely new to using Talis Aspire in our institution, we'd like to keep it that way for the time being.
However, the fact that notification emails come in every time a list is updated and republished makes the inbox alittle 'noisy' for our subject librarians handling the reviews. We'd also like to have the initiative for requesting list reviews to lie with our teaching staff, rather than our library staff.
It would be nice to be able to receive not these notification emails for lists that have merely been updated, but only for newly-published lists.
We are also working with forced reviews and would like to get to a place where new lists are reviewed by the library but then, any amendments to the list (such as moving items around, adding notes, etc) should not require a forced review as this is generating unnecessary work. Once the list has been approved (especially for the key items) then members of academic staff should be able to publish their amendments, or choose to send it to review if there are new purchases. We are looking for a better middle ground that doesn't seem to exist at the moment.
Hi Robin, thanks for your feedback. We are currently looking to make some changes to the publish button and possible workflow this Summer so we will keep you informed. Best, the product team
