It would be helpful if list owners could request digitisation from their reading lists for items that are not chapters or articles especially documents. Currently they (or Library staff) have to change the resource type in order to activate the request option and then change the resource type back once the pdf has been uploaded. From 2025 we have decided not to rollover TADC material which means that list owners will have to request previously available digitisations at the beginning of their teaching periods and not seeing the option when the resource is a document will no doubt be confusing for them
Hi again, thanks for giving us some further feedback. We are currently working on a file upload workflow within the reading list view where these can also be digitised and viewed by staff and students in a reader. We will talk about this in more detail in our October webinar. Best, the Product Team

Academic staff generally email the pdf's to the Library team for uploading as they cannot work out how to add them because there is no request digitisation option available. Some times the manage to change the resource type to allow the request but as a rule the TADC team will then change it back to a document so that it presents correctly on the reading list.
